IRFF /Tsunami

Dear All,
I hope you all had a wonderful True God's Day celebration.
I'm wishing you all a wonderful new year with God's blessing
Ending the year 2004 was for me and I guess for many of us church members world wide a sad closing.
WHY?Because of the tsunami disaster in South Asia and East Africa, which killed almost 150.000 lives. I'm thinking and reflecting on those who lost their lives. My prayers are with them, and God can take them all into his bosom.
Also, the collateral damage caused by the flood disaster is immense.

Today I donated 40 Euros (52 US$) to IRFF.
It's not much but I feelgood I did so. Please do donate if you haven't done it yet. Whether to IRFF or other organizations doesn't really matter. Eventually all money will go to this stricken region in this part ofthe world.

I you wish do donate beside IRFF, please do so. Below: a list of international aid organizations.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Wolfgang & Brigitte Schawaller

Dear All,

I'm suggesting here that our second generation (STF) in America, Europe and elsewhere should raise money for the tsunami disaster stricken region in S. Asia.
Let's them (2nd generation) all participate in an international aid effort
seek a new determination to tackle global poverty, as well.

Best Regards,

Re: AW: AW: Donation

Wolfgang,

Until I read your signature line in your latest posts, I had no idea that you had been part of the great missionary work. My hats off to you my brother. I have such infinite respect for all those who endured such hardships for God and TPs as missionaries. Thank you for being there and making that investment.

I too hope that our second generation can come to feel God's heart through living for the sake of others whether it is through IRFF or any of the other organizations. And we are always looking for the second gen. who might be the next executive director of IRFF and begin to resolve the physical pain of the world in preparation for Cheon Il Guk.

Dear all,
Here are Kathy Winings words (see below) about IRFF relief plan. I have not seen her report on HHI, UR, UCafe or Uni4M. Therefore, I will sent her report to HHI,UR, UCafe, Uni4M and many international church leaders and members around the world.
Kathy told me in private that in the beginning of the disaster Dr. Yang and Rev. Jenkins, funding appeal for IRFF goal was of $1.5 million. IRFF is far away from that goal.
PLEASE: circulate IRFF plan for S.Asia to others soonest. It is OUR time to help in S.Asia, brothers and sisters!
Kathy Winings own words: donations have waned a bit since God's Day.

FAM2000 Dr. Kathy Winngs IRFF / Our Relief Plan
Datum:

Dear All,
the informations below are the last up date from IRFF HQ on the
relief effort:

1. IRFF, working with a broad-based coalition of several organizations,
will be setting up fieldbased kitchens and water purification stations in
multiple locations. The number of locations will depend on the amount of
money collected for this effort. Each location will cost us about $30,000.
These set ups allow us to provide food and clean water to the people in that
area. We will seek to go to the hard to reach areas or those areas in which
no relief is coming yet.

2. The water purification systems will come from the US because we need
equipment that can take out the arsenic and seawater that is currently in
the water in that region. The cooking equipment is called "Kitchen-in-a-box"
and is a prepackaged 900lb package that includes tubing, wiring, cooking
materials and all that is needed to cook hot food. Generators are also being
purchased that will run on LP gas to fuel the kitchens. We have already
learned through the RYS network that LP gas is purchasable in the region.

3. We will also use 20 foot containers, not only to ship the set ups and
equipment, but to also store the equipment in and to move it later to the
orphanages for use by the orphanage.
This allows the equipment to be used beyond the initial disaster. Food to be
cooked and staple items such as flour, salt, sugar, etc. will be purchased
in the region. This supports the local economy.

4. Specially prepared packages called Gifts of the Heart and also special
energy food packs will be sent as well. These are made by people in the US
or anywhere in the world. The Gifts of the Heart are survival items that one
needs for personal use. The food packs provide some immediate food while
people are waiting for the kitchens to be set up.

5. Volunteer teams will be trained in the US. Local volunteers from South
Asia will also be utilized so that the teams are a combination of local
people and Americans. This is very important to do.

6. We will not send in blankets or clothes. They are not needed.

7. As we have no IRFF staff in those countries, we are working through
the RYS alumni - especially Fazida in Indonesia and others who are preparing
things now for Dr. Patterson's visit.
